This is the most exotic cycling trip in Nepal. Riding beyond 2 eight thousand meter mountains of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri and riding all the way to the Nepalese side of the Tibetan plateau is not just beautiful but beyond charismatic.

Often compared with Shangri La and Shambhala, Mustang is no doubt so beautiful that it feels like gazing at a fresco but getting there on a mountain bike is equally physical. On the other hand the ride is cultural, awakening and in the land which was inaccessible until 2008. The entire region of Upper Mustang which is also known as Lo Manthang preserves a rustic culture that dates back to over 1500 years.

We ride on and off through jeep track accompanied by few trucks and jeeps. Other than jeep tracks we ride on the alleys of rustic settlements made out off loose rocks and twig roofs, along the monasteries built some 500 years ago and some cultural practices that would put the outer world in cultural shock.

There are several occasions when we get off our bikes and carry our bikes on our bikes and climb the gorges. On top of the challenges from the terrrain, the elevation makes the ride more off the limit experience and that is the first and foremost why we take the trip in average pace.
