Nepal Pilgrimage Tour (6 Days)

The population of gods according to the Nepalese religious scriptures surpasses the human population of at least the capital city. Furthermore, Some of the highest regarded pilgrimages in Hindu and Buddhist religions are situated in Nepal. The highest regarded pilgrimage for the followers of Buddhist religion namely Lumbini is the birthplace of Buddha. Janakpur is another Hindu pilgrimage, which is the birthplace of goddess Sita. Sita the female lead of Ramayana is believed to be the daughter of earth and also incarnation of Laxmi the goddess of wealth and wife of Vishnu. Muktinath and Pashupatinath which is another highly regarded Hindu pilgrimage which is ancient as well as highly respected.

This trip is made for you if you wish to do a cultural tour or pilgrimage tour in Nepal. Some temples date back to over 300 years and are just not worth visit for the homage for but also for their architectural magnificence. The design and the craftsmanship have been restored from prehistoric time and is limited as the icon in the modern day. Majority of the trip is overland except the flight to Muktinath temple. Day 1
Arrive to Kathmandu

Thank you for choosing Jomsom Muktinath tour ! On this day you arrive to Kathmandu and we transfer you to your accommodation. You rest and rejuvenate for days to come. You can as well explore the surrounding and get to know a little about the country and culture.

Day 2
Kathmandu sightseeing

Places Visited: Basantapur Durbar square

Activities: Briefing Sight Seeing

If you want to see tidbits of Nepal it has to begin from the capital city of Kathmandu itself. The reason behind the Kathmandu sightseeing is because it is the best way to explore the oldest and the richest culture existing in the country. We begin early in the morning and visit couple of UNESCO world heritage sites of Boudha, Swayambhu and Basantapur Durbar square. The entire tour would take around 3-4 hours but with multiple breaks in between. We begin after breakfast and will break for lunch around 1 o'clock. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 3
Kathmandu - Pokhara

Places Visited: Kathmandu Pokhara

Activities: Travelling on Bus Briefing

We get on one of the busiest highways of the country. The drive on this beautiful highway takes around 6 hours with multiple breaks. Driving along some major tributaries of Trishuli, Marsyangdi and Seti. In between we break for refreshment and lunch as well. Once we reach Pokhara we just rest and explore lakeside area. Day 4
Pokhara - Jomsom - Muktinath

Places Visited: Pokhara Jomsom Muktinath Temple

Activities: Flight Hiking Briefing

We take an early morning flight to Jomsom. Immediately after landing we rest our bags in our hotel and board on a vehicle for Muktinath darshan. The off road journey takes around an hour and the darshan takes around half an hour. After darshan we return back to Jomsom immediately because of chances of altitude sickness. We stroll around the town of Jomsom and observe the surrounding mountains. Overnight in Jomsom.

Day 5
Jomsom - Pokhara (half day pokhara sightseeing)

Places Visited: Jomsom Pokhara

Activities: Flight Hiking Sight Seeing Briefing

We take early morning flight to pokhara and rest for half day. Towards the evening we boat across Phewa lake and do a short hike to Ananda hill and observe peace pagoda on the top. The view of sunset over the mountains, the mountains and fewa lake is unrivaled. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 6
Pokhara - Kathmandu

Places Visited: Pokhara Kathmandu

Activities: Travelling on Bus Briefing

Final day of the tour we embark on the same highway back to Kathmandu. Once we transfer you in your hotel our Jomsom Muktinath tour comes to end.
