Pikey Peak trek is a newly opened destination and a community based trek in the mid hills of Nepal. The trek remains mainly in the Solu district of the solukhumbu region and mostly focuses on the village life, sherpa culture over the mountain panorama. On top, the trek is short and sweet and is considered an easy trekking destination in Nepal. If the northern region of Everest is famous for the views of the highest mountains in the world, the southern part is very rich in floral and cultural diversity, virgin landscape and mountain vistas. The journey to Pikey peak and dudh kunda takes you through unique way of life and unfolding mystery found nowhere in the world.

A sample of ethnic diversity can be well observed as the trek passes through the villages inhabited by Brahmins, Rais, Tamangs and Sherpas. This week long cultural trek traverses through one of the most beautiful Rhododendron forest that makes its way to pastures and buddhist chortens. Furthermore, you will see a lot of hills and trees draped in prayer flags. In fact, the entire social and religious life of the people in these communities of the Pikey Peak trek revolves around the monasteries and the shrines in the villages.

On the other hand, the trek does not go to high altitude and hence, there are very less likely of you to fall sick. Saying that, it does not as well fall back when it comes to showcasing the himalayas in the north. Pikey Peak, after which the trek gets its name and also the zenith of the trek, is a viewpoint that showcases snow capped peaks of Everest, Numbur and especially Kanchenjunga.

If you are a cheese lover, you may want to indulge in eating the cheese made from local Yak in one of the small cheese factories en route.
