The tour begins in the historical city of Kathmandu but however we would see the best sunrise and sunset from various angles and various landmarks throughout the country. This Sunrise and sunset tour in Nepal is an overland tour and it showcases the dawn and the dusk from behind the hills, mountains, plains and from behind the rivers.
The first sunrise would be seen from Nagarkot - the most happening outskirts of the Kathmandu valley. The hilltop is located some 30 kilometers northeast of the valley and it offers views of Mountains in the Langtang, Manaslu, Annapurna and the Everest itself. After Nagarkot we head out to another interesting hilltop town of Bandipur. This hilltop town was one of the most happening town in the past, falling en route of the silk route. A very good place to watch rustic culture and the lush green valleys and the mountains of the Annapurna. After spending a beautiful time watching culture, nature and the mountain panorama, we move more closer to the mountains by moving to Pokhara city. Here in pokhara city we drive to the highest hill in the surrounding namely Sarangkot. Hundreds of tourist gather early in the morning to watch the snow clad mountain turn red with the early morning sunrise. The mountains are so close that one feels like they can almost reach out from the very spot they stand. We change the terrain after Pokhara and make our way to lower flat lands and leave the valleys behind. We enter the world of rare habitat and endangered species by driving to Chitwan National park. We watch sunrise behind one of the biggest tributaries of Narayani.
The sunrise and sunset from every different place in the itinerary is very significant. It is the same sun but the hills, the mountains and the dense forest makes it very different and a completely photographic moment. This Nepal sunrise and sunset tour may be short in days but is very long in memories.
